We just pushed out a new version of Tasty Pins—new and improved with custom Pinterest hover buttons! 🎉 📌
Here’s what you’ll find in Tasty Pins version 1.1.0:
- Custom hover buttons
- Ability to disable pinning on smaller images
- Disabled pinning of SVGs and avatars by default
- Alt text for hidden images
Custom Hover Buttons
You’ve asked for it and here it is! Tasty Pins now includes options for custom hover buttons complete with options for shape, placement, image overlays, and custom button labels.
Check out the new Tasty Pins setting page for all the latest options.
Ability to disable pinning on smaller images
Just below the hover button customization options, you’ll notice two new fields for minimum image width and height. These fields let you disable pinning on smaller images. For example, here, it’s set to a minimum image width of 600px. That means that any image smaller than 600 pixels will not be pinnable.
Disabled pinning of SVGs and avatars by default
To help keep your Pinterest options tidy, all of the SVGs, avatars, and logos on your site will automatically be disabled from pinning. In other words, the images that you add to your posts should be the only pinnable images going forward. Just the way it should be. 😎
Alt text for hidden images
Alt text is now included for all hidden images, so screen readers will officially be able to pick up on those and read them out. Yay for accessibility!
