A little while back, we released Tasty Recipes version 3.0.0, which brought with it a highly-requested feature: US customary to metric unit conversion! ⚖️ This was a pretty big day for Tasty Recipes users!

Check out this short video to see how easy it is to use!

Pretty cool, huh?

Now that you know how to use it, you may be wondering why this would be useful on your site. When it comes to writing recipes, it's worth keeping in mind that not everyone measures recipes the same way!

The imperial system is more common in the United States, so you'll see ingredients measured out in ounces and pounds and temperatures written in Fahrenheit.

Outside of the US, however, metric conversions are much more common. That means you'll see ingredients measured out in grams and milliliters (which are actually more accurate!) and temperatures written in Celsius.

Having said that, if your blog attracts audiences from different parts of the world, unit conversions will likely make things a little easier for them! So if you're used to writing out your ingredients with ounces, enabling unit conversion on your Tasty Recipes recipe cards is as easy as flipping a switch! No need to go through all of your recipes and add in the conversions yourself. ?

If you're looking for a little more control, you can also disable unit conversion on a single recipe!

And that's all there is to it! Have you enabled the unit conversion setting on your blog? If so, we'd love to hear your thoughts!
