• Adds support for Tasty Link previews within the Block Editor (Gutenberg).
  • Prepends disclosure text to content when Tasty Link exists in recipe.
  • Permits & to also match text with &.
  • Skips the currently requested URL when auto-linking keywords (to prevent self-links).

Don't forget to update!

You should soon see an update for Tasty Links v0.5.0 in your WordPress dashboard. Make sure to update to keep your plugin in tip-top shape.

We just pushed out a new version of Tasty Links that I think you're going to be really excited about. Here are three cool things you'll find in this update:

1. Full Gutenberg support ✅

Tasty Links is now fully compatible with the new WordPress block editor (formerly known as Gutenberg). After writing your content, just refresh the page and you'll see all your Tasty Links appear.

Clicking on the link shows you where the link points to and also provides a button to remove the link, just like in the Classic editor.

Some Tasty Recipes customers use Tasty Links to link up their recipe ingredients - a great idea, if you ask me! If links only appeared in the recipe, though, the general disclosure wouldn't show. We've switched that up with this update to make sure the general disclosure shows for links in the recipe card, too.

Our logic previously didn't take ampersands into account, but sometimes link keywords use them! Tasty Links now properly links up any keywords with ampersands.
