What Information We Collect

For example, if you make a purchase from us, we will collect information to establish your account and to fulfill the purchase. In addition, we may ask you to create a user profile, which would allow you to create a username and password. We will store the username, but your password will not be visible in our records.
  • Information we collect from others: We may receive information about you from other sources. For example, if you use a third-party software, through the site, such as a payment processor, they may transfer information to us for fulfillment.
  • Automatically-collected information: We automatically collect certain information about you and the device with which you access the website. For example, when you use the website, we will log your IP address, operating system type, browser type, referring website, pages you viewed, and the dates/times when you accessed the website. THIRD-PARTY VENDORS WE USE

The following list of vendors are those with which we may share your personal information. None of the below services receive data about you when using any WP Tasty plugins. Data is only shared when you are logging in to the WP Tasty dashboard on our servers.

INTERCOM

We use third-party analytics services to help understand your usage of our services. In particular, we provide a limited amount of your information (such as sign-up date and some personal information like your email address) to Intercom, Inc. (“Intercom”) and utilize Intercom to collect data for analytics purposes when you visit our website or use our product. As a data processor acting on our behalf, Intercom analyzes your use of our website and/or product and tracks our relationship by way of cookies and similar technologies so that we can improve our service to you. We may also use Intercom as a medium for communications, either through email, or through messages within our product(s). STRIPE

Customer payments are sent to our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your complete payment information in accordance with Stripe’s privacy policy.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

WP Tasty uses Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using Google’s Ad Settings page. Users can completely block Google Analytics tracking using Google’s Opt-out browser add-on.

FACEBOOK

WP Tasty uses Facebook advertising and retargeting. Cookies and pixels are used to understand and deliver ads and make them more relevant to you. We may also use a cookie to learn whether someone who saw an ad on Facebook later visited our website. Your personally identifiable information is not used by any remarketing service other than to present you offers from the Website. Opt-out of Facebook remarketing here.

SHAREASALE

WP Tasty uses ShareASale to administer its affiliate program. If you register with ShareASale to become an affiliate, we will have access to information shared by ShareASale to assist us in maintaining our affiliate program. Any information shared with ShareASale is used by ShareASale in accordance with their privacy policy.

ZAPIER

WP Tasty uses Zapier to send information such as your name and email address to other services listed here. This information is used by Zapier in accordance with their privacy policy.

RECAPTURE.IO

WP Tasty uses Recapture.io to capture abandoned card information. Your name, email address, and payment history may be shared with Recapture.io. Recapture.io may use this information in accordance with their privacy policy.

OPTIN MONSTER

WP Tasty uses Optin Monster to create personalized offers for our visitors and to collect information for newsletter subscriptions. This information is used by Optin Monster in accordance with their privacy policy

CONVERTKIT

WP Tasty uses ConvertKit to send emails to our customers and customer prospects. We may share your name, email address, and payment history with ConvertKit to improve your experience with our email marketing. This information is used by ConvertKit in accordance with their .

On the website, you may subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. ConvertKit is the processor of these emails. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows us to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior is processed by ConvertKit for our use only and will not be passed on to any other third parties. 

CLOUDFLARE

WP Tasty uses Cloudflare for website security and caching. Any personal information obtained by Cloudflare is not shared with any third parties.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the Website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

COOKIES

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

If you make a purchase from WP Tasty, LLC, your purchase information is shared with our payment processor. Currently, our payment processor is Stripe. Stripe uses and processes your complete payment information in accordance with Stripe’s privacy policy. WP Tasty does not store credit card information in our system. 

In addition to Stripe, we may use tools that integrate with Stripe in an effort to improve customer service, like Churn Buster. They process our data, but they do not share it with third parties. 

Additionally, the Website may use third-party service providers to service various aspects of the Website, which are detailed herein. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies. At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This may be amended from time to time in oursole discretion.

Except when required by law, we will not sell, distribute, or reveal your email addresses or other personal information without your consent; however, we may disclose or transfer personal information collected through the Website to third parties who acquire all or a portion of our business, which may be the result of a merger, consolidation, or purchase of all or a portion of our assets, or in connection with any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding brought by or against us.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. This account information is stored indefinitely.

WP Tasty stores customer purchase records indefinitely. This is so that we have access to customer account information in case problems or questions arise regarding past or future purchases.

ANONYMOUS DATA

From time to time, we may use anonymous data, which does not identify you alone, or when combined with data from other parties. This type of anonymous data may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Examples of this anonymous data may include analytics or information collected from cookies.

PUBLICLY VISIBLE INFORMATION

If you create a user profile on the Website or leave a comment, certain information may be publicly visible.

SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the Website. This includes your social security number, information regarding race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, criminal background, or trade union memberships. If you elect to submit such information to us, it will be subject to this Privacy Policy.

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION

The Website does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16.
