Don't forget to update!

You should soon see an update for Tasty Recipes v1.8.0 in your WordPress dashboard. Make sure to update to keep your plugin in tip-top shape.

Tasty Recipes now allows you to automatically add 'Jump to Recipe' and 'Print Recipe' links to your posts. You can choose to show one, both, or neither of the links.

Dropdown options for the quick links: 1) Disabled, 2) Show 'Jump to Recipe' and 'Print Recipe' links, 3) Only show 'Jump to Recipe' link, 4) Only show 'Print Recipe' link

If one of the 'Show' options are selected, then the link(s) will show below the post title and meta area:

The links are minimally styled to avoid theme styling conflicts, but have CSS classes for easy styling. The links will only show up on posts that contain a recipe.

These links are generally recommended for improved user experience and for SEO, so we recommend that you head on over to Settings → Tasty Recipes to turn them on.

If you're a WP Tasty affiliate, it's now easier to promote Tasty Recipes to your readers and fans. The Tasty Recipes affiliate attribution adds a small, muted logo below your recipes.

You can turn this affiliate attribution on by going to Settings → Tasty Recipes and adding your ShareASale Affiliate ID:

Once the ID is saved, the attribution section will start appearing below your recipe cards!

3. Import ratings and reviews from Zip Recipes

Tasty Recipes now imports ratings and reviews from Zip Recipes Lover (the Zip Recipes premium plugin). Both non-comment-associated and comment-associated ratings are converted, and if both exist, their values are averaged.

Looking for a different plugin to convert from? Just send us and email and let us know! We build converters based on demand, and we love helping people move to Tasty Recipes!

4. Gutenberg Improvements

The last version of Gutenberg broke the Tasty Recipes integration. This happened because the Gutenberg team wrote a new block parser, but returned information in a different way than it previously had. We made a quick fix and handed it out to customers who were experiencing this problem. This version includes a more permanent fix that will handle any type of data that Gutenberg returns - since they're planning on changing it back to the original method in the near future.

In addition, we removed the licensing prompts from the post and page edit screens since the UI conflicted with the Gutenberg UI. This isn't something you'll likely notice, but we like to keep you abreast of all changes!
