Tasty Pins adds a Pinterest hover button over all pinnable images on your website. Any images that have pinning disabled via the image settings or that have the data-pin-nopin="true"
attribute will not show the Pinterest hover button.
With the Tasty Pins hover button you have two options: the default Pinterest hover button or a custom hover button.
Default Pinterest Hover Button
The Tasty Pins default hover button utilizes the default, recommended Pinterest save button functionality. This means that it's always up to date with Pinterest features and best practices.
The button is not customizable and looks like this:
You'll see it appear in the top-left corner of pinnable images.
Custom Pinterest Hover Button
The Tasty Pins custom hover button includes a handful of options you can select from in the Tasty Pins Settings.
Log in to your WordPress dashboard, then select WP Tasty → Tasty Pins.
Within the Tasty Pins Settings tab you'll find options to customize the shape and placement of the hover button, along with options to add an image overlay shadow and custom button label text.
You'll also see an option to use custom brand colors with the custom hover button. If you would like to use this feature, just pick whatever color strikes your fancy. And bam. You’re color-coordinated.
If you see multiple hover buttons on your images, we recommend turning off any plugins that add hover buttons to your site. Examples of this are the jQuery PinIt Button for Images, Pinterest Pin It Button On Image Hover And Post, and Social Warfare. For Social Warfare and other plugins with multiple sharing features, you can just turn off the setting in that plugin that adds the Pinterest hover button to your images.
Turning the Hover Button Off
If you would rather not use the built-in hover button functionality, you can learn how to disable it.
