US customary to metric conversions
Today we have a BIG one for you! US customary to metric unit conversion is now available for all Tasty Recipes users.
Now your readers can effortlessly toggle between US customary and metric units. All you have to do is enable the feature from the Tasty Recipes settings. Behind the scenes, our conversions are powered by our very own Nutrifox database so we know they're accurate! No Nutrifox subscription required!
Enabling unit conversions with Tasty Recipes is as easy as flipping a switch. No other configuration or setup is required. From the WordPress admin, navigate to Settings > Tasty Recipes. From there you'll find the option to enable unit conversion in the Settings tab. No complex configurations or guesswork! It's a piece of cake!
A few important things to note:
- The unit conversions toggle will only appear on new recipes or recipe cards that you've updated since enabling the feature. In the next release, we'll automagically enable all of the recipes on your site for unit conversion — aka the cron job. Until then, we wanted you to have more control over where this new feature appears.
- The Tasty Recipes converter has been built to automatically detect whether an ingredient is liquid or dry, to ensure the conversions from cups to grams or cups to milliliters are accurate.
- By design, teaspoons and tablespoons will not be converted. In our research, we found these units were used universally.
- If you receive an error message (see screenshot below), send us a link to the post and we'll do our best to resolve the issue quickly. This error message will only appear in the admin, so everything will still look great for your readers.

Mediavine Create Converter
You've been asking and now it's here! Tasty Recipes now has a recipe converter for Mediavine Create. Easily convert any Create recipe cards to Tasty Recipes with the click of a button. You'll find the option to convert recipes in Settings > Tasty Recipes > Converters.
